BLOOD DRIVE

Today was the day I was going to donate my blood to the.. Bloodless? I have been looking forward to this all week, I didn't even forge my sisters signature on the blood donning consent form ha ha. So at lunch I go into the media center and spend approximately twenty minutes filling out all the medical and personal questions. At this point I'm feelin' pretty good. A lady comes and checks my answers and I pass! As a reward she pricks my finger and tells me to hold still as she checks my blood pressure. Once again I pass, ON TO THE NEXT LEVEL!! I go over to the blood stations and I meet a young fellow from Georgia. The lady that took my blood pressure says to me "Don't you worry, Marcelo here is gonna take good care of yah!" ha call me crazy but that did not give me much comfort at all.. I sit in this odd reclining chair that goes all the way horizontal and he stretches the elastic band and raps it around my arm. He puts the disinfectant on.. no.. more like DUMPS the disinfectant on my arm and we sit and wait ten minutes for it to dry.. amateur.. He then says "This would be a good  time to look away if you want." So as i look away i feel the needle go in and I'm like FINALLY!.. Then i look down at the blood contain bag and theres no blood in it and I hear Marcelo say "Uhhh Kathy?".. Some other lady takes the needle while its still in my arm and is just fishing around in my arm trying to skewer a vein. Then all of a sudden my arm starts to swell and she rips the needle out and says "WHOOPS" uhhh what do you mean whoops?! "Looks like you got a hematoma (blood leaks out of your vein into your muscle), I'm not gonna lie they hurt. Sorry. Odds are it wont happen again so we can try your other arm or call it quits." "Well I came to donate, might as well!" I switch to my other arm and again Marcelo does the sanitizing and the elastic then he tells me to look away again.. "Uhhh.. Kathy?" You're kidding me right?! ha ha by then i knew that it was over.. By that time 4th period had started and when I walked into chemistry with my arms all wrapped up and an ice pack Lindsey starts busting ha ha! Ohhh I didn't get to donate, but at least I got a free shirt.. That says I DONATED ha ha ;D

You can pretty much just call me sargent bree now.. Haha!

Soooo yes, today was indeed career day! Dont we all just love it?! Ha ha no. As always there are all the hair schools doin their thang, with about half their participants being of the male gender?? kinda sick.. But that's off topic! And there's all them navy and marines sign up tables of course! So Linds comes up to me during lunch and is all fanatic because she has just "joined" the U.S. Air Force. And im thinkin, PShhhh! yeah right! Ha ha there is no way! And then she goes off about how she did it to win a hat.. That changes everything! So, without thinking I say "SIGN ME UP!" After giving the guys at the U.S. Air Force stand my name and "phone number" (Little Caesars) me and Linds MAKE SURE that they are going to call our names in the big drawing at the end of lunch to claim our sexy hats ha ha! So lunch goes on.. No drawing.. Sitting in Chem... No drawing.. By the end of school we're like what the crap!? We pretty much gave our futures away to the Air Force for a hat that we will never receive.. Oh well! I guess there is always the army?. Nahhh! After getting our hopes up, Linds goes home and I had to stay after school for that lame ACT prep class (math review day D=) and just before walking into K.p.'s room I get called down to the counseling office. I walk into the office "Are you Breanna?" "Uhhhh, yeah?" "We have a lil surprise for you!" And the lady hands me the hat! Ha ha! WHOOO! Ohhh, sorry Linds! I'll let ya borrow it on the weekends ;D

I Sold My Soul

Today was a career kind of day at school.
As usual, there were about one million different hair school choices for the ladies.  because, as you've probably already been informed, hair is our calling.  And for the men? Navy, Army, Marines, & the Air Force..
So just to break the social norm, Bree and I may or may not have joined the Air Force.
Our actual motive not being to break the norm, but may indeed have been a hat. That may, or may not, look like this one...
Worth it? Well, it might have come in handy on our bad hair days.

                                               Wear a hat today.

Let’s Just Say, Life Is Good.

Sometimes life is harder than it seems.
Sometimes it’s harder to be happy than people say.
Sometimes you just don’t know where true happiness lies.
But don’t you just love the moments when God whispers in your ear, it’s all going to be ok.  And even if it’s just for that one moment, you’re truly happy.  And you know everything is going to be fine. And it is.
Things will get better, Promise.

If I was going to write about my best friend, It'd probably go something like this..

She's someone who enjoys a nice cafe rio salad and  the one hundred and four mints that will sit in her car for months along with it.
She's someone i don't need to talk to to know what she's saying.
She's someone who has just recently rid herself of wendy's stalkers.
She's someone who enjoys the tilt o' whirl and Winco.
She's someone who will eat pasta with me all the way home from Wyoming.. then six tacos later.
She's someone who says things sometimes just to fill the silence.
She's someone who will stay at my house until three in the morning on a regular basis just to sit and talk until everything is said.  Whether it's necissary it's said or not.
She's someone who sees the big picture.  She can see if things are important or if they don't really matter in the long run.  And if they don't matter she doesn't worry abou it.
She's someone who won't fight back.
She's someone who will prank call people with me just making noises.
She's someone who is beautiful.
She's someone who the Mexicans at the city carnival will let on the rides without a ticket.
She's someone who would rather hitch hike than float the Provo river.
She's someone who craves goat milk one day and gets pet goats the next.
She's someone who snowboards, boats, and golfs.
She's someone who will sit with my dad and watch Eric Clapton concerts all night and not feel awkward.
She's someone who will drink a jamocha shake every once and while.
She's someone who loves her friends and trys to make them better.
She's someone who's brave and seemingly fearless.
She's someone who loves buying things in quarters.
She's someone who loves horchata and cherrys.
She's someone who will answer all my uncles prying questions and put up with my cousins mysterious looks.
She's someone who will do something simply because she wants to and doesn't really care if other people like it or not.
She's someone who's getting better at driving... but she's also my ride, so we won't go into details.
She's someone who has the prettiest hair I've ever seen.
She's someone who will stop on a date to help Julian find his parents because he's "lost".
She's someone who will graduate this year and do something amazing.
She's someone who will stop in the hall at lunch to talk to the girl sititng alone because she remembers how it felt.
She's someone who has always made good decisions even when they were hard.
She's someone who will come with me when I'm super mad and make cookies while I make coal pellets and say stupid things.
She's someone who will call me just to say heavy weights is on T.V.
She's someone who will say she's going to eat a gold fish, then actually do it.
She's someone who makes me smile everyday.

So this is Breanna Wolstenholme.  You could probably call her my best friend, or Bree would suffice.
She's my greatest example and my hero.  I'm really proud of the decisions she's made even when no one was telling her what was right.  Everyday she chooses to be happy.  Everyday she helps me to be happy.
She's someone who has really blessed my life.  I met her when I sincerly needed someone's help, and there she was.  We were meant to be friends and to help each other out and we always have, So thanks Breezy :)
